LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) A Georgetown company owner is still recovering from two bruised ribs, yet he got on a lot much better than the guy who attempted to burglarize him last month.

Just 40 minutes before the liquor shop was set to shut, a man with a hammer came in demanding cash. Not only did Yazan Ammari disarm the prospective burglar, he duped his mask also.

FOX 56 acquired the 911 call Ammari made while attempting to detain the masked guy. It starts, “Yeah, I have actually obtained a robber right here. On the flooring, on the flooring!!”

Just eight secs after entering the shop, Ammari has actually had sufficient. He claims the robber asked him “to head to my register and grab my cash as well as commend him.” Ammari responded, “are you certain you desire me stand now and go to my register as well as hand you my effort?”

As he’s combating with the burglar, Ammari is communicating to 911 dispatchers what’s taking place. Then his phone drops as well as shatters on the floor.

DISPATCH: “Hey there? This is dispatch, they’re on the way. Did he have a tool?”

AMMARI: “Yeah, a hammer. I took it from him.”

The owners of the shop state they’ve been robbed twice. Years back, when the little shop at S. Broadway as well as Pocahontas Path was a corner store. And after that June 29. That one went really different from the first.

DISPATCH: “Did he injure you?”

AMMARI: “Yeah, he struck me with the hammer a number of times, yet I’m alright.”

Nothing was taken in the robbery. After the quarrel inside business, the bloodied as well as wounded trespasser is fortunate to have won his life.

Ammari states he made use of to maintain a weapon at the shop, however had actually just taken it home 2 days prior to the criminal offense since he didn’t assume it was required to have it there. After the robbery, he brought it back along with a shotgun. And also has this message for anyone that wants to attempt something similar.

“We are waiting for you as well as we will be more than satisfied to care for our service.”
